STILL KICKIN HERO June 2018
EVERY MONTH, OUR PROCEEDS SUPPORT A NEW PERSON OR ORGANIZATION WHO DEFINES WHAT IT MEANS TO BE STILL KICKIN.
You might recognize Natalie Pollard’s name. Or her story. Actually, there’s a lot out there you can read about her. And about her story. But we’re not going to recap that here.
What we will tell you about Natalie is that, two years ago, she was getting ready to start nursing school. Two years ago, she was pregnant with her sixth child. Things were tough two years ago, sure, because life pretty much always is.
But today? Things are way tougher.
Because Natalie can’t become a nurse. Natalie can’t volunteer at her children’s school. Natalie's circumstances have changed dramatically.
If you’re interested in that other part of Natalie’s story, that’s okay. Humans are curious creatures. But the story we’re interested in is the one where this woman gets the chance to rebuild her life. It’s a story she shared with everyone on our founder Nora McInerny’s podcast, “Terrible, Thanks For Asking.” Give it a listen:
Natalie is an incredible woman, a loving mother, and a domestic violence survivor. Your support this month will help her and her kiddos get back on their feet -- and write the next chapter of their story.
