Still Kickin Strong: Milwaukee Workout

Still Kickin is teaming up with our friends from Brewers Community FoundationSPIRE Fitness, and Vita Physical Therapy & Fitness for a special evening of personal strength in Milwaukee. 

On Saturday, August 18th we'll be co-hosting one of our special Still Kickin Strong events. A live DJ yoga class taught by the talented Ali Szarzynski under the lights of Helfaer Field! Your participation helps our Heroes, as well as one special human, Roger Caplinger, the SK Strong program recipient, who is working on his own personal strength with Spire and Vita while he battles pancreatic cancer. And because we know strength looks different on every body, especially when life gets tough, this class will be available to all levels.

Define your own strength, support Roger, groove to the beats of DJ ShayKenn, get your hands on special Still Kickin Strong merch, and enjoy some after class @AlgoDulce, all in one of the coolest spots in town!

Date: Saturday, August 18th

Time: 9:00p Class (doors open 8:30-10:30p)

This Run Club will be a little different than our usual. We'll be heading to Basset Creek Park in Crystal, MN for the Fight for 5K and Fun Run! 

One of our Still Kickin Heroes, Sam, was diagnosed with incurable brain cancer. After he died, his family started With Purpose. They continue to raise money for childhood cancer research, and proceeds from this race will help support their mission. We're so excited to join them!

Choose one of two (or both!) 45-min live DJ dance party spin classes to support Still Kickin!

Class will be co-taught by the awesome Kaity and Danielle from SPIRE Fitness, with jams by the talented DJ ShayKenn and a celebration of SPIRES's 3rd Birthday - all from from the roof of the Kimpton Journeyman Hotel - in the Historic Third Ward.

Doors will open 30 minutes before the workout (11:00a) and then afterwards, stay with us at the Outsider Rooftop Bar to enjoy the awesome views, some drinks, watch the game and celebrate your hard work to help another human out.

We'll be doing a circuit style workout with trainers... OUTSIDE! And don't be nervous about your workout level, The Movement is known for meeting you where you’re at. All fitness and experience levels are welcome! We'll do some warm-up and then go through the workout together!

Then, go directly into Open Streets Lyndale for an afternoon of music, and great food! 

Don't forget: Wear comfortable clothing for an outdoor workout and bring a water bottle (water also available for sale)! Still Kickin apparel will also be available for sale at the workout.
